The Coronavirus bug has taken another BIG bite out of our travel plans this year. At least, we remain healthy but bored. We were scheduled to visit the Pyramids of Egypt in a few months, but all has been cancelled – strike three of 2020 – no Bali, Canada, or Egypt. It’s frustrating but could be much much worse. Thousands of vacations every year are uprooted by death, sickness, or injury. We won’t even lose any money and will probably get some bonuses. However, time is running short on getting to these bucket-list destinations and who knows what our financial situation will be in another year?

There’s already too much going on next year, as we move cross-country. We’ve already planned a cruise from Spain into Norway just after we move into a new house. We’ll probably need that break after so much stress involved in relocating our lives. However, then we turn right around in July and go to Moscow. Should we then squeeze-in Egypt before the year ends? A major move and three big trips in one year seems excessive, but two of those trips are already paid for. I know – it’s hard to feel sorry for us.

In the meantime, it’s another day of nothing. At least, there are sports to watch now that MLS soccer in underway and The Basketball Tournament is in the final rounds. Auto Racing got the jump on live sports over the last two weeks. These are all events I probably wouldn’t have watched under any other circumstances. I even sat through the Jeffrey Epstein documentary on Netflix and added an HBO subscription so we could watch the new Perry Mason and Veep. Life is all about the TV these days.

The past month I’d been very busy writing instead of watching, but am currently between projects. I also managed to enjoy a few hours solving two episodes of the Hunt A Killer mystery. Four yet to go but I have to patiently wait for them in the mail. So far, I’ve identified the murder weapon and eliminated one of the seven suspects. Writing about killers and hunting them have kept me entertained in these troubled times. The Coronavirus Bug BITES!
