It was pizza with the kids last night after another frustrating afternoon of White Sox baseball. The misery is over this year, after a season that I invested a lot of time in. They are at least a good enough team that that they’ll be back again next year. The Braves are my only remaining favorite, having recently jumped on the bandwagon since their Spring Training facility is in our neighborhood. I’ll have to get over there next week to watch a game on the big screen and buy some playoff merchandise. Thankfully, college basketball will soon start with hopes for a better IU team under a new coach.
Tally was not happy hanging out with my two granddaughters, Fiona the cat, and Mango the pup. She seemed overwhelmed and had a tendency to hide. Surprisingly, she did not chase the cat and the cat was probably surprised after constantly dodging curious Mango on a daily basis. My youngest grand daughter treated us to a ballet performance of Frozen. Poor, traumatized Tally retreated to her bed when we got her home after this first visit to my son’s home.
I avoided a trip to the bank yesterday by opening a new account on line. It proved to not be the hassle that I expected. Today, I should probably get a haircut, exchange propane tanks, and buy some sandpaper to finish some work in our water closet. I’m between TV shows while saving The Morning Show and Ted Lasso to watch with my wife during the evenings. We viewed what I thought was the final episode of Only Murders in the Building last night but instead there is one more hour next week to end the season. My thoughts were just interrupted by a package delivery that I’ve been somehow missing the past few days. I waited again all day yesterday for the driver because it annoyingly required a signature. The whisky has finally arrived. Cheers!
