Another day has uneventfully passed, with little to write home about. Politics and riots are no longer the focal point, but virus concerns are escalating in the state of Oregon. Stronger mask usage warnings and limited restaurant seating restrictions have been issued. More tents are popping-up to protect diners from the elements. I was lucky to avoid the rain this morning on my run, fully expecting to get completely soaked. The forecast calls for drizzle all through the week, in true Portland form.
I had some extensive paperwork to fill-out this morning for our home loan application, as we move closer to the projected closing date of February 15th. I still expect some small delays into March, but this fits our moving timetable perfectly. Florida warmth sounds very appealing, as does more living space. I’ll be working with loan officers all this week to finalize arrangements. Mortgage rates dropped again this week to an average of 2.625%. I remember financing my first home for about 13%, so I’m pleased with our timing.
We watched another episode of Fargo last night, but my wife dropped-out of any further Haunting of Bly Manor episodes. I’ll finish that series on my own today, along with another season of Shameless. We both agree that Suits is an excellent choice to view together in the evenings. We’ll deliver our final “Meals on Wheels” to her daughter tonight, who is finally getting back on her feet. It also gives our pups a chance to get together. Let’s all hope that the Pfizer vaccine is the end of our boring lives.
