I’ve been suffering from intense headaches this past week. Of course, my first reaction was “I’ve got it!” However, there was never a fever. My wife suggested eye strain, after all I’ve been spending about 8 hours a day in front of my computer screen. Sometimes, I get too enthralled in my work and forget to take breaks. Articles suggest that I need to stop and focus on something more distant or change the angle of my screen. I’m starting to experiment.

The book is nearing conclusion. I’m really excited about the ending and wish I could share. The title has now evolved into “A Killer.”  Graphically, I envision the A to be an A+ to represent the ultimate academic grade. Alphabetically, it also would put the title at the top of any list, if it ever came to that. It’s full of twists that have magically come together in the story-telling process. Best Seller? I doubt it, but the time invested has kept me entertained in these times of isolation – to the point of headaches.

It’s Birthday Eve for my wife, meaning I’ve also taken the time to write her a poem. I will post it tomorrow after I’ve given her the Limoges box that will forever house the poem. Daily blog, poem, and novel – it’s been an eye-straining week of writing. I’m just relieved to know that it’s probably not the initial symptoms of Coronavirus. Somehow, the pessimist in me is convinced that I’m going to get it, and the associated psychosomatic symptoms will try to convince me that I do have it. As you’ll understand when you read my book, I have a vivid imagination and a sick mind. I give myself an A+
