Being out of town for four days and having company for the next three has put me behind schedule on my daily commitment to write. I enjoyed our guests and was glad to get away to Pittsburgh with family, but the routine has definitely suffered. Of course, I’ve been able to complete my runs to maintain “The Streak” but have missed a few swims. I did catch up on my daily 7 Little Words puzzle but haven’t blogged in days. We should now be home, with the exception of a couple one or two day trips, throughout the end of the year. We still plan to go to the Kennedy Space Center and Disney World as we continue to explore our new state.

Yesterday morning, three separate contractors were here to do home warranty repairs. I then spent several hours in App Hell trying to figure out our new thermostat. I also installed my new State Farm Safe Driver monitoring device but have yet to convert my wife’s phone from Verizon to Xfinity Mobile. It’s on my agenda for today along with a trip to the Chiropractor. I’ll also be anxious to get my test results from yesterday’s CTA Scan. This evening, I have another Pickle Ball match and a visit to Nokomis Beach for the Drum Circle ceremony, cocktails, and dinner. It will be a third straight night of dining out, so after this some weight control and drying out will be necessary.

The MLB Wildcard games started last night with the Red Sox defeating the Yankees. Tonight, it’s the Cards and Dodgers both hoping to extend their seasons. The White Sox and Rays play tomorrow and the Braves on Friday, so I might make another trip over to the neighborhood ballpark for a Watch Party. I was there on Monday for a bucket of margaritas with my brother-in- law. We also have our “Meet the Neighbors” event on Friday evening and may try to sneak in a movie in the afternoon. Thankfully, there’s nothing officially planned for the weekend. My wife has a tap class this afternoon and is currently at the dog park with Tally. We should now be back on schedule with no writing delays.
